I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Anthropologie is one of my all time favorite stores. I want pretty much everything in their catalog. Luckily, there isn’t a store close enough for me to go there often. I’m also trying really hard to budget so, there’s that. I was looking online and saw this sweet little glass milk jug with a “pomdelion bouguet”. It was exactly what I needed to fill the void in the room when I didn’t have any fresh flowers.
I just finished an Athropologie Inspried Pom Pom Wreath, and I had some lovely Ivory wool yarn left over. I didn’t want to waste it so I used it instead of buying yellow.
You’ll need:
-Yarn (I think wool makes better pom poms but you can use whatever)
-Sharp scissors
-A fork (I used a “big fork” that my husband calls BBQ tines)
-Skewers or sticks
-Green scrap booking paper
-Hot glue gun
Let’s get started!
- Make your pom poms. I suggest an odd number. I did 5.
- Cut out the leaf shape on the green paper. I used a hexagon-ish shape.
- Now stick the skewer through the hole of the leaf paper and glue to the pom pom.
- Find a cute vessel, arrange, and you’re done!
These pom pom flowers make a sweet little addition to my house. I can’t wait to make more. What color yarn did you use? If you liked this fun and easy project, follow me on Instagram for updates on more.
