If you’re a plant parent, you’ll eventually find yourself using the same supplies over and over. I’m sharing my must have supplies for plants with you today!
Top 6 Must Have Supplies
- Perlite – I always have perlite on hand. I’m not loyal to one particular brand but this one is easily purchase on Amazon. I add this to most of the potting mix I get to give the mix more aeration.
- Small wire trellis – This pack on Amazon has 2 different sizes. These are perfect for plants like Hoyas and Monsteras that need a little extra support to grow big!
- Plastic trays – I try to reuse trays as much as possible. We use a food service and I often reuse the lids from our meals. I will also use ceramic drainage pots, but I like plastic because it doesn’t make water marks or moisture on my tables. These ones have room for more than one pot!
- Fertilizer – This is a must! I have a few different favorites but I love the Joyful Dirt shakers. They’re easy to use and formulated specifically for houseplants.
- Orchid bark – Much like the perlite, I keep orchid bark around to create a more coarse potting mix for my plants.
- Watering can – I like watering cans, like this one, that have spout options. The shower head for larger plants, and the pour spout for smaller plants.
