It’s my favorite time of year! Christmas music is playing, I’m drinking hot chocolate, eating peppermint sticks, and the squirrels are getting fat. I saw these small wreaths on Martha Stewart.com and thought they were super cute. I believe they used embroidery hoops (which I don’t have). I just wanted to use what I had on hand so I chose wire. These are super easy and so sweet. I love them! They look so perfect in small groups of two or three.
You’ll need:
-Wire or wooden hoop
-Hot glue gun/glue sticks
-Greenery (I used cedar)
-Ribbon
-Scissors
- Use your wire to create a circle in your desired size (mine is about 5″ in diameter). Wrap the wire around about three times so it’s sturdy.
- Next, tear/cut sprigs of greenery in all different sizes (mine are all between 3″-7″).
- Start hot gluing one sprig at a time. Overlapping as you go. Keep gluing until you have the look you want. I left the backside flat because I was going to hang mine on a wall. You can do the back if you’re going to hang in a window.
- Make and add bow. And you’re done!
Now wasn’t that easy?! And aren’t they so cute?! I’ve made a few and they all have their own personality. I just adore them!
Thanks for stopping by Clever Bloom today. Have a great rest of the week. See you next time!
Love the simplicity of these! This idea might make me start crafting again. Thanks for the inspiration.
These are beautiful… And i bet make the house smell amazing! You can often get free greenery at Christmas tree stands or farms when they trim up their trees! I might have these on every surface of my house!
Those are seriously adorable!
Thanks Krissy!
