Hello! Thanks for stopping by to see this super cute DIY Tree Bunting. I’m just going to come out and say it. “I have a bunting addiction!” I don’t know what it is but I love making different kinds and hanging them all over the house. For a while I was making pom pom bunting in every color, for every occasion. I think my husband was sick of it. Ha! A few weeks ago I did this super cute pinecone bunting for My Christmas Guest Room. I fell in love! It might just be my favorite one so far. It just gives this natural feel that makes me smile.
Well, it was time for a new bunting to be made. I wanted to make a Christmas one but not too Christmas-y. I just wanted a simple one that could maybe even be used other times of the year. It turned out so cute and you really need one in your life!
You’ll need:
-Scrap book paper (or old book pages would be really cute)
-X-acto type knife
-Glue (any kind will work)
-Metal ruler
-Thin string/rope/hemp
–Tree pattern found here (or make your own)
- Use your ruler and knife to measure and cut 3″x8″ pieces of paper. You can do however many you want. I did 8.
- Fold your 3″x8″ pieces in half width wise. Set aside.
- Cut your hemp to desired size.
- Take your first folded paper and put a line of glue right along the crease and another one on the bottom end. Fold it over the hemp and close shut. Let dry.
- Print and cut your tree silhouette.
- Trace the tree on your folded paper and cut with knife.
- Repeat steps 4-6 however many times you need.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope you have a fun time making this cute little tree bunting. See you next time!
