Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.\u00a0 That’s right, already!\u00a0 It seems like we just put our Christmas decorations away…oh wait, we did.\u00a0 This year I wanted to do something that didn’t involve candy.\u00a0 I mean, I love candy, but with the new year comes the attempt to no longer indulge ones self with candy.\u00a0 At least for as long as possible, right?\u00a0 Ha!\u00a0 So today I’m sharing this sweet idea of using a plant for a Valentine.\u00a0 I also made FREE Flag Printables for you to use.\u00a0 Didn’t these turn out SO CUTE?!<\/p>\n

You can make them too!<\/p>\n

You’ll need:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-Small plants<\/p>\n

-Pink spray paint (I used Krylon ColorMaster in Ballet Slipper Satin<\/a>)<\/p>\n

-Terracotta pots (This set of 5 is perfect!<\/a>)<\/p>\n

-Potting soil<\/p>\n

-Bamboo sticks or something similar.\u00a0 (I used these from World Market)<\/a><\/p>\n

–Valentine’s Plant Flags<\/a>\u00a0 Printable<\/p>\n

-Glue or tape<\/p>\n

Here’s how:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Spray paint your pots.\u00a0 You might want to do a primer or you’ll have to do a few coats.<\/li>\n
  2. Transfer your plant to the new painted\u00a0pot.\u00a0 Add more potting soil if needed.<\/li>\n
  3. Print your Valentine’s Flags.<\/li>\n
  4. Cut them out.\u00a0 Fold them on the dotted line and wrap around your stick.<\/li>\n
  5. Place a small amount of glue or tape to secure.<\/li>\n
  6. Stick them in the dirt and you’re done!\u00a0 Now\u00a0deliver to your Valentine!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
