Hello!\u00a0 Thanks for visiting Clever Bloom today.\u00a0 My favorite thing to do at night, when everyone else is sleeping, is cruise Anothropologie’s website.\u00a0 There are so many beautiful things I want so badly.\u00a0 Why is it so expensive though?!\u00a0 Last year I saw this wreath that I fell in love with because it was made out of pom poms.<\/p>\n

It was so awesome and I had to have it…until I saw the price tag.\u00a0 Over a hundred dollars?\u00a0 What?!\u00a0 I just couldn’t do it.\u00a0 That’s like three boxes of diapers.\u00a0 So, I did what I had to do.\u00a0 I made it.<\/p>\n

I switched it up a bit by using two different colors.\u00a0 I thought it would be more versitile.\u00a0 It turned out just as beautiful as the Anthropologie one.\u00a0 Below is a quick tuturial.\u00a0 You really need this wreath in your life.\u00a0 The holidays are right around the corner!!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You will need:<\/em><\/p>\n

-6 spools of wool yarn (I used Patons-Classic Wool.\u00a0 Four spools of 77008 Aran and two spools of 77010 Natural)<\/p>\n

-Sharp scissors<\/p>\n

-Straw wreath form.\u00a0 Don’t take the plastic off. (I used 14″)<\/p>\n

-Hot glue gun\/glue sticks<\/p>\n

-Pom pom maker or a wire coat hanger<\/p>\n

If you don’t have a pom pom maker (like me) you’ll have to get creative.\u00a0 You need two points in which to wrap your yarn around.\u00a0 You can look on Pintrest and fine some make-shift pom pom makers.\u00a0 You can also use your fingers if you want.\u00a0 I bent a metal coat hanger into a two prong pitch fork shape and made mine that way..<\/p>\n

Let’s get started!<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Make your pom poms.\u00a0 Mine all sort of vary in size but are an average of 4″ in diameter.\u00a0 I used about 75 for a 14″ wreath.\u00a0 I used a total of 5 1\/2 spools.<\/li>\n
  2. Lay your wreath form on the table and glue one pom on each corner.\u00a0 I just did that to act as a guide.<\/li>\n
  3. Continue to glue poms onto the wreath.\u00a0 I glued them pretty close to each other so there were no gaps in the poms.\u00a0 You don’t want to see any wreath form.\u00a0 Also, keep your form flat as it will be laying against a door or wall.\u00a0 You only put poms on one side, not all the way around.<\/li>\n
  4. That’s it!\u00a0 Tie a ribbon around it and you’re done!\u00a0 Side Note~The Anthropologie one looks sort of ratty so if you want yours to look like theirs, you can tease the wool a little at the ends.\u00a0 I haven’t decided if I’m going to\u00a0tease mine yet \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
