Hey guys! \u00a0It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post (I actually forgot how to log in…sheesh), things have been crazy around here and unfortunately, I’ve put the blog on the back burner. \u00a0But I wanted to share the latest with you…Pretty Plants, Cool Places and Friends!<\/p>\n

By now you should all know Morgan (@plantingpink<\/a>) she’s my…business partner in @houseplantclub<\/a> and things are really taking off for us! \u00a0We have an Etsy shop (check it out<\/a>) where we sell House Plant Club merchandise like tote bags, stickers, pins, mugs and more. \u00a0We just love coming up with new stuff for the shop so if you have any ideas leave a comment!<\/p>\n

We’re also working on a secret project (details coming soon) that\u00a0brought Morgan here last weekend from Tampa. \u00a0We had a week FULL of planty goodness and I didn’t want it to end…except I needed a nap BADLY!<\/p>\n

Monstera Deliciosa at Pistils Nursery<\/em><\/p>\n

I picked Morgan up from the airport and we drove immediately to Pistils Nursery<\/a>. \u00a0If you haven’t had the chance to visit them, you don’t know what you’re missing! \u00a0It’s like heaven on earth. \u00a0The shop is cute as can be and\u00a0the solarium is AMAZING! \u00a0I mean honestly, it’s the most beautiful place ever. \u00a0From teeny tiny succulents to giant tropicals, they totally have you covered. \u00a0They also ship from they’re online shop<\/a> so everyone can have\u00a0the Pistils experience. \u00a0We also attended\u00a0a mounting workshop there and it did not disappoint! \u00a0We both left with our very own mounted plant and Morgan even took hers home safely on the plane.<\/p>\n

Monday was the BIG day. \u00a0We had a lot of work to do for the secret project and it turns out we had some amazing helpers. \u00a0My husband Tim was such a sport! \u00a0He helped us pack and carry everything. \u00a0He’s an amazing support and just having him there made everything better. \u00a0Then there was Cory. \u00a0He runs The Potted Elephant<\/a>. \u00a0His greenhouses are full of cacti, succulents and tropicals that he sells to local nurseries and plant shops. \u00a0He was doing us a HUGE favor by letting us borrow some of his plants for our special project. \u00a0I feel really lucky to have met Cory about a year ago. \u00a0He’s provided me with tons of plants for different projects and is such a wonderful guy. \u00a0He also makes a dang good waffle!! \u00a0I love him!<\/p>\n

Bryson<\/a> was a last minute helper but he brought the show stopper! \u00a0This Monstera deliciosa is gorgeous! \u00a0It was perfect for what we were doing and I think it’s my new best friend. \u00a0Everyone was having their picture taken with it. \u00a0Haha!! \u00a0It was a celebrity of sorts. \u00a0Bryson also let me borrow (I might steal it) this leather plant hanger. \u00a0Every bit of it is hand made (by him) and the original design is so cool! \u00a0I have him making me more as we speak. \u00a0Then he can bring them to me in his adorable little car. \u00a0Check him out on IG<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Our morning was spent at Beast Daylight Studio<\/a>. \u00a0It was an amazing studio space that I will definitely use in the future. \u00a0If you’re a photographer in Portland in need of a studio space, you should totally check them out! \u00a0I had such a great time with all my plant buddies. \u00a0I wish I could do this sort of thing ALL the time!<\/p>\n

Here\u00a0are some other things we did this weekend:<\/p>\n

Morgan and I spent Sunday morning at Roosevelt’s Terrariums<\/a>. \u00a0Gregg, the owner, has a wonderful heart and I adore him. \u00a0We built a few terrariums, drank cream soda and talked shop. \u00a0Check out their website<\/a> for class dates and times.<\/p>\n

We made\u00a0a stop at Solabee Flowers<\/a>. \u00a0Morgan bought a small pot and I left with a pink variegated syngonium. \u00a0Their store is lovely. \u00a0Somehow I forgot my camera in the car but here’s a picture of their beautiful shop from a past visit on my IG account.<\/p>\n
