I just love your helpful articles and advice. Great site for beginners and more advanced really. I love the get to know your plant advice. I have almost 200 plants and I can tell if they are dry from looking at them or even feeling how light the pot is when I pick it up. If unsure don’t be afraid to stick a chopstick down in to the soil to test if plant needs water. I stick mine to bottom of pot and if it pulls out clean, dry and no soil on it then it’s definitely time to water but if it come out with even a little soil attached to stick that tells me there is still moisture and I skip watering at that time. I still do have hat every time even with my most sensitive plants to overwatering. That way I am confident I am only water when necessary. Even with years of caring for my plants, I still use tools and resources like this for optimum plant health because we will never know everything or be perfect so its important to use what you have available o you for best plant parenting
