intro 2

Hello!!  Thank you so much for visiting Clever Bloom today.  I am so excited and so nervous about today.  I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a long time but I just wasn’t sure if I could do it.  I still don’t know if I can, HA!  But, I have to try or shut up about it.  My husband has been so supportive and my three year old likes to sit and help mommy with her “bwog”.  In the blogging world, I’m not even a newborn.  I’m like in utero still.  And not in a cool Nirvana way.  I really have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m learning along the way.  I have a decent camera that I bought because I really wanted to learn photography.  Do I use it?  No!  I can’t even figure it out right now.  I have no time and no patience.  So, for now the photos I take are just on my phone.  The quality is a sliver above poor, but just like everything else, I’ll learn.  For those of you who don’t know me, go visit my ABOUT page.  I started Clever Bloom so I could share my thoughts, ideas, and projects with you.  I hope to inspire you and encourage you to see the possibilities and beauty in everything.

I feel like I’ve always been pretty crafty.  I get it from my mom, who taught me to sew, scrapbook, rubber stamp, and many other things.  You know, things that were super popular in the 80’s, but lucky for me are all good staples.  I get my love of vintage, aged treasures, garage sales, collectibles, and a “good deal” from my dad.  My grandfather was a book binder who taught me how to work with leather, glue, and how to stamp.  I never met my other grandfather, but pictures prove he was indeed a handy man and knew his way around tools.  I’d like to think that I’m a quirky combo of them all.

With all these inherited talents, I am constantly creating and crafting.  I always have a million ideas and unrealistically think I can execute them all.  I have a small catalog of projects on the blog for view right now, and hope you take the time to browse!  With the holidays quickly approaching, I have about a dozen things going right now that I can’t wait to share.  I would love to hear from you so, if you have any questions there are a few ways to connect with me.  Follow me on Instagram or Pinterest for the latest posts and bits of inspiration.  Thank you so much for visiting today!

So much thanks to Tim who encourages me and helps me in all the things I want to do.  And my good friend, Amanda, who is so much help and guides me in the right direction.
