Hello!  These DIY Gold Glitter Mason Jars were a total last minute project for me.  Sometimes the unplanned things turn out the best, am I right?  My sweet baby girl turned ONE last week and she had a “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” themed party.  Well, she’s not technically MINE but I care for her a few day per week so basically she’s mine.  Ha!  Her mommy started panicking the day before the party that she didn’t have anything for the tables.  She also claims she doesn’t have a crafty bone in her body but I just think she hasn’t ever tried.  (Love you Jamie!)  ANYONE can make these.  They’re that simple!  I know these are all over Pinterest but with my tips and tricks yours are sure to be the best!

Don't waste your money on high end vases when you can DIY!You can see how they sparkle!!  I mean, they just really add some beautiful detail to an otherwise boring table, don’t they?!

You’ll need:

-Vases or Mason Jars

-Glitter (I used 3 different kinds of gold.  A fine, medium, and large)

-Modge Podge (it’s important that you get the glossy one)

-Painters tape (splurging on quality tape will make a big difference)

-Sponge brush

  1.  Tape off your design on the jar and rub it down really well so you don’t have bubbles or gaps.

Now you’re done and you have these beautiful glittery vases!   It might be hard to see but I think my favorite is the triangle one!  You can even use smaller jars to make candle holders.  On Pinterest I saw somebody made some that were matte black with black glitter.  They looked so cool maybe for Halloween or something?!

Now that the party is over, I think I’ll repurpose a few of them.  I love them as vases but will probably only pull them out for parties as they don’t go with my year ’round décor.  My friend Amanda at Burlap and Babies did a really great tutorial on how to Make Your Own Mason Jar Dispensers.  I think I’ll tackle that project next!
